This week we´ve been continuing with some investigators we have that still do not feel ready for baptism. It is sometimes hard to stop visiting an investigator who continually comes to church every Sunday and fulfills the commitments to read the book of Mormon and pray, but doesn´t accept to be baptized! We are visiting less frequently those investigators now to let them "ripen" spiritually, to put it in fruit-terms.  Many are called but few are chosen. Some investigators are ready for baptism from the first contact, others take longer, and some take VERY long. I´m blessed to be in a mission where there are many who are prepared and it is mostly a matter of finding those people! I´m trying to write this in a more spiritual sounding-gospel language, but my gospel language is for now, Spanish.
Not too much to report this week but that I´m happy to be here as a missionary. I have been reflecting about preparation in my studies this week, as there are many future missionaries in the ward in which I am serving. As one begins the mission there is in-field preparation involved. Before that there is the MTC. Before that there is preparation in one´s youth. Before coming to this life, we were preparing for this life on Earth. Everyday we should be in active preparation for the future: immediate and long-term. The promise of the Lord given by Henry B. Eyring is that (páraphrased) "the Lord will place his prepared children with his prepared servants. How often that happens depends on the preparation of our minds, and of our hearts." I know that the Lord will provide to us opportunities to serve and preach the gospel as we prepare ourselves diligently and on a daily basis.

P.S. I made Chinese food today for PDay. Sweet and sour chicken! It turned out pretty awesome but I filled the house with smoke (no fire, just burnt chicken) at one point due to a long time without cooking (good excuse Elder Pollock) and we were scared there were going to call the firefighters haha. We turned on the fans though and it turned it out all good with stomachs satisfied.
